Merchendise Art for

Watermark Books & Cafe

Watermark Books & Cafe hired me and my branding studio to aid their small business branding with some illustration design by creating so art for their merchandise. The goal being to attract new customers to the store for a special independent bookstore day promo as well as increase their engagement with their current customer base, plus of corse, to make money selling the product. I think it's safe to say the project was a HUGE success; all 20 puzzle sold out the first day, before even counting the online orders! The success of the illustration literally paid for itself and then made a massive profit for Watermark in both direct and indirect sales and excited on top of that! Watermark Books & Cafe must have agreed with me about success of the project because I was invited back to do the same thing for their holiday and Black Friday store promotions!

 Brand Identity and Advertizing

Exploration Place

I was delighted to be hired by Exploration place, Kansas's children's science museum to help them promote their brand identity with a series of illustrations. The illustrations were designed to capture the sprit of Exploration place, from the curiosity, to career exploration, the sprit of play, learning and nostalgia. The work is being used to celebrate the museum's 25th anniversary and also help advertise the membership. I was partially excited to work with Exploration Place because not only do they have a legacy of working with some pretty renowned creatives, but the project was wrapped in my own nostalgia because I spent much of my childhood running around the museum with my familly.

 Brand Identity and Murals

Wichita Public Library

The Wichita Public Library hired me as a brand designer to fulfill two goals. The first was to use some illustration design brighten up the grey wall in the Library's staff room. By adding some color through some murals, I could help make the library a better place to work. The second goal was to help increase the visibility of the Wichita library's new building through adding some illustration to their small business branding. By creating some art that could be displayed on the library's windows over looking a busy city intersection.

We have received nothing but delight and compliments from staff and the community. These additional touches to the library have provided personality, warmth, and magic in our library space.

Season 50 Promotional Art and Posters

The Unicorn Theater

I was hired by the Unicorn Theater in Kansas City as an illustrator/ brand designer to create promotional work with digital illustration to be used to draw crowds to the Unicorn theater for their 50th season. Each work corresponds to one play in the season schedule and would function as a poster, art for the program and a general promotional image that could be used to advertise in print and online. The art was such a success in ingaging customers, I've been invited back to do the same job for next season!

Illustrated Recipe Cards

Botanica in collaboration with Constance Ernatt

I was brought into this project by another artist, Constance Ernatt, she was creating a sculptural installation for Botanica (Wichita's Botanical gardens) The sculpture was designed for children to interact with as they learned and part of that included recipes they could make. I was brought into ad some digital illustration to the recipes in a way that would be easy to understand and enjoyable for the kids.
